MILPITAS, CA, May 30, 2001 - Lightwaves2020, an innovative developer of fiber optical components, today announced that the company has developed 50 GHz thin film filter.

The new 50GHz thin film filter has been packaged to form fixed Optical Add Drop Module, Configurable Optical Add Drop Module, and Mux/Dmux at 50 GHz ITU spacing. Lightwaves2020's 50GHz filter features low wavelength thermal shift, low insertion loss, high isolation and compact size.
